According the the US Census web site at www.census.gov, there are 305,854,281 people in the U.S.
That breaks down to $28,771.87 per PERSON in the US. So for the average family of 3.21 people in the US, your family has now been saddled with $92,357.70.
I don’t know about you, but if the government were to invest $92,000 to my family, I could have gotten a lot more good out of it than I have in the current format!!!!
